I enjoyed through Akkodis because management and recruiters were honest, considerate and reasonably transparent. I had quite a few managers over the years, and this was pretty consistently my experience. You don't have to get involved in a lot of the typical office politics because you are just there to do a job. You might get hired by the customer company if that is your goal, but there are no guarantees.

Akkodis is a contracting company. Work is as-needed for the customer and there is no severance package if the customer cuts the budget and you are left without work. Akkodis will try to find you another position, and usually they were able to do so for me, but there are no guarantees. This means, among other things, the customer can pull from your budget to help with their budget. You may be working full-time for a year and then the customer will suddenly dictate that you to work only 16 hours per week for a couple months so they can save money. Technically, they cut the budget for Akkodis which effectively yields that result. Having 2 days of work available per week can prevent you from getting unemployment benefits. Akkodis tries to promote its contractors best interests with the customer, though often to little avail. The health care package is okay for a worker who is single, but costly for a family. If you think about it, all employment is temporary, but working as a contractor makes you more subject to the ups and downs and whims of the customer. If you are going to be constantly worried about that, you should probably keep looking.
