Upper management has no respect nor does it afford any dignity to the largest group of employees, the technical labour segment. Whilst this isn't an issue during day-to-day work but should ever any disagreement or conflict arise, this becomes evident. Employees are always wrong, managers, supervisors are always right. Some supervisors can be absolutely sadistic. If and when this occurs, upper management cares not at all. HR personnel may have no HR qualifications and have handled issues very poorly and without professionalism; contravening the law at times. Safety: upper management does no more than the absolute minimum required in compliance with the law. All employee suggestions / recommendations may be disregarded. All incidents are faults of the employees. All incidents must have a scapegoat.
