Do not join the company if you are working in a professional capacity (any position outside of the labs). The industry is extremely volatile, and when combined with a top-down management style throughout the company you get a very depressing culture. Employees are not engaged and employee turnaround is very high, both voluntary and non-voluntary. I've never been immersed in a more authoritative culture before, it was honestly just a really weird experience. The pension sucks, the bonuses are a joke, and the compensation is horrible. I was being underpaid by 30% doing the same job in a different company. Let that sink in. Cannot speak for lab staff directly, but in my interactions with them they seemed even worse off.
