      Co-workers and other crews were great to work around. Everyone helps each other out. Supervisors were also easy to talk to assisted anyway they could.

      Fire departments in the local area can come off as egotistical so it’s hard to navigate around certain personality types.

      Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

      AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.

      Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
