      Many people there really do care about providing great service , the issues are more at the senior and executive level.

      Very poor communication, reactive as opposed to proactive. Departments are siloed; many hired at lower levels are simply not competent and turnover is high.

      Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

      AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.

      Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
