Vantaggi
-The company is situated in downtown Huntsville and you're able to use the parking garage at anytime with your access card. -If you have no experience this is a great place to start but don't expect to be paid much at all. -Orientation/training is essentially a paid vacation where you sit through presentation slides and listen to the same things over and over again. This might have changed since I was in training but it does still last 2-3 months and the material covered is the same for the most part from telecom to telecom.
Svantaggi
-Like many of noted already, the pay just isn't there. I was there for over a year and even when undertaking advanced training there is no increase in pay BUT there is an increase in responsibility. There are no quarterly or annual pay increases either. And instead of paying you a better wage, they throw snacks and treats at you. -The company doesn't reward hard work so your better off just doing the bare minimum in this environment. -Mandatory overtime. -The HR department is very shallow with only one representative, with turn around in response time taking a week or more sometimes. -You get payed more to be a glorified babysitter managing CSGs as an AST then you do working in the NOC(network operation center), this is starting pay with a degree in networking. -Most positions at API are more customer service oriented then technically oriented. -Lastly the workstations are trashy with probably a years worth of crude stuck in most of the peripherals, bring sanitizer and don't look too closely at the keyboard, it might make you sick.
