7yThanks for the review. I appreciate your feedback. I must say that this review had me scratching my head for awhile. You bring up some vague assertions that didn't really ring true to me. Because of this, we brought up your review in our weekly mechanical engineering meeting to discuss what you might be referring to. The feedback from existing engineers was equally interesting. Regarding your statement "fake engineering to meet the desires of the owner", the consensus from the group was that younger engineers tend to believe in book engineering as "truth", while those of us with decades of practical engineering experience understand that book engineering is never 100% accurate and that other factors must be taken into account when determining the best design of mechanical systems. This experience modifies not only the way we design structures, but also the way we use 3rd-party components. It sounds like you might not have understood these concepts. Your comment about "ridicule" is also interesting. We've found that some younger engineers don't take criticism well, and tend to focus on the negative aspects of criticism rather than the positive. It's my recommendation that you see any criticism as a way of learning more and getting better. Finally, on the matter of "penny pinching", there was no real consensus on what you meant. It's possible that you disagreed with a design decision that might have factored in cost. It's certainly true that cost must always play a role in determining the best design for a mechanical system. If the cost is too high, then no one will buy the final product. Good luck with your future career.
