ASW was my first job out of college and I worked here from 2012-2016 both full and part time. While ASW began to decline during this period in the digital space as the third wave of social media took over, this job proved pivotal because of the mentorship I received that was truly the best education one could receive in marketing and communication, with Sabine Heller who was then CEO. I would advise any entry level employee to evaluate where to want to work not on the merit of the brand but of their manager. Sabine empowered . her employees encouraging manage themselves and focused on results as opposed to the p's and q's. This modern approach to management was not only motivating, but also lead to greater productivity during her tenure. An out of the box thinker herself, Sabine understood the need for independent thinkers in the start-up space and leaders like her are few and far in between. She focused instead on her sub-reports strengths rather than weaknesses and cultivated their skillsets over time.
As a note, Sabine left the company in 2014 - Daniel Huber assumed the role after her for a 2-3 year window.
