Svantaggi
Their creative interpretation of labor law means they only pay up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. If you work 39 hours, you're paid for 39. If you work 45, you get paid for 40. Don't let them fool you into using the time clock if they tell you you're salaried-- once you punch in, the nickel-and-dime games begin. The pay is low for the industry across all verticals-- don't expect it to be competitive. Potential instructors should beware the bonded contracts: you're expected to sign on for 2-3 years but they won't guarantee COLA adjustments in writing and there is nowhere for you to grow. This is an OK deal for retirees or those without any ambition but career suicide for the naive or anybody with time left on the clock. You'll owe them tens of thousands of dollars (full retail value) for training the day you sign their contract, have a post-employment non-compete agreement over your head and the certs you'll accrue will be largely random, irrelevant and/or near-outdated by the time you're released. If you have the guts to stand up for yourself, just know that whatever your grievance is, you'll always be the first person to complain about it. Ignore their mind games-- if at any point you start to feel like you're being taken advantage of, it's because you are. Best of luck to you.
