Vantaggi

Close to home with super easy commute, free parking, business casual dress, average pay for area, only in my immediate dept are my co-workers great to work with and only my direct supervisor a reasonable, think outside the box, great guy to work for,

Svantaggi

1.The worst is the ego and fear driven environment which creates a culture of finger pointing and throwing depts under the bus. 2.the systems are from antiquity times, the stone ages and not one improvement since I've been here in 9 years. Each program does its own thing and no communicate with each other. No ceo wants to take the capital investment hit. 3.micro managed at every level 4.no team atmosphere, it's you against me!! 5.job descriptions not updated just more responsibilities expected of you. 6. No perks, nothing at all!! Nothing for holidays, no picnic, no free pop, no pens with company logo, no clothing, no ice cream day, or donuts, not even an early dismissal the day before a holiday!!if you want coffee you have to pay for it! Yep! 7. Average pay 8. These are the tip of the iceberg.....

Vantaggi

Interesting work with (some) hard workers. Serious place to get real experience. Salaried employees receive a large 401k match.

Svantaggi

Place is held together by critical staff working much harder than others, but don't expect many raises. Annual adjustments do not match inflation. Managers do not understand technical skills that set their staff apart and struggle to argue for raises when asked, losing this talent within a few years. Experience always outranks expertise (helps to be old). HR/Operations collaborate to underpay their hourly staff, keeping process changes that affect incentive pay out of union negotiations for as long as possible. HR can barely run Salaried payroll and will threaten you if you question their math (even when they owe you money). HR refuses to address racism/white supremacy within their hourly workforce.
