The organization is good: I've worked at a number of startups of this size, and they're typically hot messes. For that matter, I've worked at fairly large startups that are still working through a lot of organizational problems. But Abound has figured things out at a pretty early stage. It's not perfect, of course, but there are clear processes in place, teams are organized, work/life balance is good, and internal growth is encouraged.
The remote culture is good: In the past few years, a lot of startups, especially smaller ones, really struggled to transition from office-oriented communication to online, distributed communication. But Abound feels like it's always been a distributed team.
The product is good: Features are explored in depth before they're implemented, code is reviewed thoroughly before it goes out, and tech debt is tackled before it gets out of hand.
The mission is good: Abound helps two types of small-businesses (small brands and independent retailers) find each other.
The people are good: Everyone is helpful, respectful, hard-working, and polite.

At the time of this writing (October 2021), the health insurance is great if you're single, but a little on the expensive side if you have dependents. In the grand scheme of things, this is a very minor nit.
