Terrible upper management of all IT. Hired a new CIO in 2023 and she immediately started sneaking around to choose the lowest bidder to outsource us. To "keep up with demands." They could have kept up with demands by fully staffing us with techs who live here, but they were too cheap. Point blank. They sold out for the cheapest option and laid off our entire service desk- after they overworked us for years. Horrible!!!

Cons: Management showed very little compassion or flexibility during serious medical situations. I was dealing with severe spinal cord compression and kept my supervisor informed every step of the way. My doctor’s appointment had to be rescheduled due to a tornado threat, and the physician was unexpectedly out until the following Monday, which delayed my documentation. Despite being upfront and communicative, I was terminated before I could even obtain the note. Losing my job and health insurance in the middle of a serious medical crisis was devastating. The role itself can also feel emotionally draining because intake staff are often left handling upset patients and families without enough support from the facilities. I had to reschedule my surgery so I couldn’t get married and put on my Husband’s insurance, kind of sucks a healthcare company would do an employee that way!
