Great colleagues, clients and projects
Svantaggi
Shiny on the outside, rotten in the inside. An example of the owner's attitude towards their employees is demonstrated through the inclusion of certain limitations in their client contracts, which restrict their employees from pursuing their own entrepreneurial endeavors. If this were done in the United States, they would most likely be taken to court, but it seems that in Bulgaria, this practice is not as scrutinized. I stumbled upon this information accidentally and confirmed with a lawyer friend that this would be highly illegal in US. The following contract clause has been slightly modified to avoid any infringement on their copyright. However, the meaning has remained unchanged: "The BUYER agrees to refrain from enticing or entering into employment or civil agreements with any employee, consultant, or agent of the SUPPLIER, and from engaging in any commercial dealings with companies related to the SUPPLIER's employees, as defined in §1 of the Additional Provisions of the Commercial Law. This restriction applies during the term of the agreement and for a period of five years following its termination, or longer if the specific STATEMENT OF WORK takes longer to complete." And here is the interpretation: This contract clause states that the buyer agrees not to hire any employee, consultant, or agent of the supplier, nor engage in any commercial relations with companies related to the supplier's employees during the term of the agreement and for five years after its termination. This may have a negative impact on the supplier's employees as it restricts their future job opportunities and potential business ventures. Everyone can draw their own conclusions on whether they would like to be employed by such a company.
