They work very hard to find great people. They offer referral bonuses to employees who bring in good qualified candidates. Most of the staff under management are amazing hard working people.

The company, often referred to as "The Firm", is rapidly changing the culture and environment so that it is no longer a pleasant place to be. Employees are constantly bombarded by corporate spam telling us how amazing it is to work there. Our computers are so loaded down with company "security" programs that they are barely functional. The level of micromanaging from a far is getting to be ridiculous. They are increasingly scrutinizing every decision and function we make. They constantly push this idea of "career path", however there isn't any formal program to help anyone work toward a promotion or other position. Their performance evaluation process is one whereby a manager that has 30 employees, and must fit each into a ranking of significantly above peer, above peer, consistent with peer, below peer, significantly below peer. Accenture does believe in force ranking. So for those 30 employees there are only so many consistent, above and significantly above slots available. If you have a super star performing team, somebody is getting pushed down to below peer or lower. Each year everyone's email is flooded with requests to donate to one of Accentures favorite charities. The number of emails regarding this campaign is obnoxious.
