Vantaggi
-Very flexible schedule.
-You can set your availability.
-They have a good amount of work available in person.
-Remote work available.
-If you have no experience, you can build some here so you can apply to other jobs later.
Svantaggi
-The pay is very low, another qualified interpreter can be doing the exact same job as you and their pay is different.
-It's hard to get a hold of the admin team, they have a text message system and you never know who you're talking to, all the people there can see your messages and respond, so there is no privacy if you need to ask an important question about your salary or rate or availability.
-They don't train you properly, they send you to assignments that can be very difficult or that are in areas not super safe and you're just asked to show up and basically figure it out, it doesn't seem like they care about their employees safety, the managers don't seem to be properly qualified for the job they're doing, like they're also figuring things out themselves.
-Emails are also not responded or followed up, if you have an issue you have to keep emailing them until they respond.
-For remote work, they don't help you figure out the technology nor do they verify that you have the proper tools to do a good job, seems like all Accurate cares for is to get the job done even if it's a crappy job or if the interpreters are doing the bare minimum and the people we interpret for usually don't speak up when the interpreter is not doing a good job, there is no quality checks from management to make sure interpreters are doing a good job.
