Svantaggi
One of my teachers taught me a very important lesson in life, that never have bad relations with anyone in your workplace because this world is a small place and the corporate place is much smaller than the world. So this review is to just express my views about the company and providing an honest opinion about the company so it might help the peer group in their job search as they would get an inside idea about the company. One of the worst company to be a part of in your career as the company lacks in all department. In a job you look for some things and one of them is compensation which is highly manipulated by the management as they to show a good CTC figure in your offer letter but the in-hand is comparatively quiet low. Then one is the location of the company, the company is located in one of the good connected areas of the Mumbai city but office space is quiet small as compared to other companies of the same size. The office has small eating area where you have to fight your way out to have a meal as it is always occupied. The only food items one can find there are Maggi & some chips because the coffee maker is always under repair. The office temperature is so well maintained that you feel you are either in Arctic Circle or in Thar Desert. The management takes pride that they have an office in UK but it’s a single person in his chair either in client office or his We-Work office cubicle. And the role you have been allocated always goes for a toss as the company doesn’t have projects to allocate you and you are assigned any online free training by your so called line manager. So till now I have talked about Compensation, Role and Location of the company each of which are equally miserable. Now let’s talk about the department that work inside the organisation, the management thinks by giving fancy names to the departments would make the employees cheerful but according to my experience by working in multiple organizations, the employees bring out their best performance when they are trusted and get better projects to work upon as they get experience by doing different tasks. The resource allocation of this organisation is at the ultimate poorest one can expect as it is handled by the person who considers himself the jack of all trades master of none but in reality the person is jack of no trades at all. And you would recognize the person very soon as the whole office talks about the person in a sarcastic and negative manner. The organisation has two puppet departments called the Marketing and HR Department who in practical have no work but projects themselves as they are at top of the work pyramid, there work involves creating unnecessary events which are of no benefit to the other employees. The Marketing department works as the event managing wing of the organisation but takes pride but doing the allocated tasks by the management. The HR Department which is a very important part of any organisation here is totally clueless as they have no power because they work under an autocratic rule. Now let’s talk about the Autocrat who is CEO&MD of the organisation, he is an egoistic and exasperated personality. He behaves like the office is an extension of his home and believes his life is like a paparazzi and therefore you can see multiple photo-shoot happening on every event that the organization performs. He believes he is the best and whatever decision he takes is right but a person should always learn from others because no one is perfect in this world. There is person with designation of COO but the less I say about the person the better because the person also has no say in the organisation’s decision. A person like me wants to work in an organisation which provides equality to all and listens to my opinion. But this organisation doesn’t believe in equality at all, the first inequality you would find is about the college an employee is passed out from, if you are passed out of IIM/IIT/Other prestigious college then you would be Apple of the Eye of the management. Yes I agree that they have deserve respect but other people are also talented in their own way and it’s the leader’s responsibility to recognise them. While we are on the topic of leaders I somewhere read a quote “Good leaders create more leaders” but here in this organisation you are always dragged backwards and there is no value of anyone’s view and opinion as it is crushed ruthlessly by the so called management. You and your screens are always monitored by the detectives and sniffers of the management. The organisations makes its employees feels like they are working in captivity. One of the biggest drawbacks with this company is that it lacks a backbone when it comes to dealing with the clients because they accept unrealistic targets which leads to even more unrealistic deadlines. While we are on the topic of clients, let me give you an inside information that the number of clients & projects are less than number of fingers on your hand. The company makes multiple attempts but fails miserably due to its fake promises which ultimate leads to scrapping of projects. One of the major issues with this organisation is that it lacks process. And due to which there is flaw in every work they do. Once an employee submits his/her resignation, then the management treats him/her as if they are untouchable. One of the important lesson of the management mantra is that you should respect and value your stakeholders and your primary stakeholders are your employees but in this organisation they are treated miserably. An organisation can only grow if its employees stay with it for a longer period of time but here the attrition rate is above 30% in a year and worrying factor is that the experience pool of people leave the organization due to its various flaws I have mentioned. The management has to understand that a rookie not only gains knowledge through its online training but the greater learning comes from the supervisors and peer group he/she gets to works in the organisation. The organisation also has the habit of stalking the digital footprints of its employees and using the same as a weapon against the employee in its appraisal allotment cycle. My last and final point is regarding the dress code the organisation follows, just imagine yourself travelling in the difficult conditions of Mumbai wearing formal clothing 4 days a week through the huge crowd of Mumbai city. In my past experiences while working in multiple organisations the least concerned the employer was about the dress of an employee. In this new era where almost 80-85% of the organisation are allowing Casual dressing to their employees, the Autocrat ruler of this company is highly obsessed with formal clothing and for God known reasons wears a blazer every single day.
