Vantaggi

I will reach five years with this business next year, and it's the kind of place you want to retire from. This company encourages growth in their employees and promotes from within. The CEO has an exciting vision for the company, and is transparent about goals and where we land at the end of each year. Management is encouraging, receptive to discussing and resolving problems, and care about their employees. The employees company-wide are generous with their time, team players, and motivated. No one is ever too busy to stop and share knowledge or provide a helping hand. And finally, the benefits are beyond outstanding, and the company continues to look for more ways to provide exceptional care for their employees.

Svantaggi

Some communication and silos happen between departments, but this has been one of the key things the company has worked on in the past year. They continually are working to improve.

Vantaggi

The team is highly dedicated to the organization's mission of school improvement. Employees are valued and the compensation and benefits reflect this.

Svantaggi

None, really - Issues are not unlike any other growing non-profit. Things can move at a fast pace, but are in the best interest of the organization.

Vantaggi

Being a non-profit, there's great retirement benefits and "soft" benefits like lots of paid time off, etc., plus really ridiculous things money is wasted on like a game room, "retreats" and trips for an inner circle, etc.

Svantaggi

Unbelievably dysfunctional management. Cronyism and nepotism at its worst. A true case of "the emperor has no clothes" (especially in regard to IT), but if you say anything of the sort, prepare to be screamed at, debased, ignored, and generally made "persona non-grata". Add to that the pervasive "We're a non-profit, so we can't pay competitive salaries and try to make up for it in benefits" leads to a critical mass of sub-standard talent not getting much done at all in terms of the business operational infrastructure.
