They have been hiring former ABI/Lifetch people for the past couple of years into middle management and they are spending more of their time trying to carve out little fiefdoms for themselves and making petty political maneuvers. These people are fighting for power and status within the company, making it a hostile and thankless environment for those just trying to do a good job. They also "hire" former ABI/Lifetech colleagues without interviewing anyone else and are able to get away with it for the lack of HR.
