Where to start, First as I said the work isn’t as hard as they make it. Worked for a site in Langhorne, Penn Life Sciences. Coming in I was optimistic, was constantly baited as being a candidate for the supervisor position which was kind of different because it started on like day two. The manager that made all the promises went MIA after week two, so that was a red flag. During this time our ORIGINAL shift was supposed to be 530a to 1pm or some junk, didn’t happen. Instead we were asked to come 7-3 first week, seemed ok I like day shift more. No, second week switched to 12-8p then week 4 it switched to what our shift was going to be going forward 3-1130p. This was the start of the spiral for me. No regard for personal situations, kids, personal activities scheduled nothing! We started with 6 team members and by week 4 we’re down to 3, that’s how bad it was so we have a 3 man crew doing the job of a 6 man crew for weeks! Majority of the time the hardest work falling on the backs of the lesser two out of the crew because the other guy was a supervisor. I was one of those guys, so with the work falling on us we were constantly exposed to dangerous chemicals without any real protection. The management didn’t even know what the risks or ingredients of the chemicals they had us exposed to were. The chemical I’m speaking of is Spor Klenz Google it! I’ve experienced weeks of coughing mucus after multiple days of exposure while co workers had to take days off to recover. To combat the issue typically a N95 mask is used, what did they buy?? Chinese KN95 masks which aren’t regulated and most likely bought at the cheapest possible price. Way to care for your employees. At this site we have experienced multiple harassment type behaviors from no regard to the cleaning we were doing PLS management walking on clean floors or wet floors. Their management telling us what we are doing is wrong after the same people tell us to do certain things the exact way we were doing it. PLS management taking pictures of employees via their own camera system on the site sending these pics to ACM management. Most of the time doing nothing wrong at all, does ACM stand up and say this is too much roll it back a bit? No. They ask the employees to bend and take whatever is being shelled out. This site has a rule that you can’t leave fore any breaks u MUST bring lunch, but does not provide any alternatives but two bummy vending machines with nothing but junk and soda. We started with ACM management vowing that we will not be subject to this rule and that “You guys work for ACM not them” that was a lie because eventually they folded and that was something we had to abide by. The place felt like jail nobody smiled nobody was happy it was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a job. For 20 a hr hell no! For everything that comes with the job and the work that’s expected even when short they pay should at least be 25 but hey who am I. ACM is a joke mainly filled with liars inexperienced management, management with no backbone and fast talking salesman style managers. They will make it sound good and throw some “opportunities” to make the work seem worth it but trust me it’s not. Again not for 20 a hr and a 2-3% raise annually. This is a job more suited for a younger crowd imo who have minimal experience and have not experienced jobs that actually come with benefits and perks as well as a good wage.
