Vantaggi
To be completely open minded and honest, there are no Pros.
Svantaggi
ATL took over a contract at Fort Lee which contained roughly over 59 employees. Hourly wages were cut by $4.00, employees were let go and even more work, due to the increase of Soldiers, was put on the remaining employees. It was duly noted that the contract was now a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) by the CEO. While everyone was upset with the drastic changes, I kept an open mind that this was more so the Government's doing for placing the contract as LPTA. However, as I started to get to know the leadership to include the HQ staff, I was greatly disappointed. Many of my employees under me had many issues with their benefits and when I communicated the issues to the HQ staff, I was shocked to receive short answers (that were no help at all) and the rudeness and unprofessionalism that was given behind it. Every section quickly started to get behind on daily tasks, major errors were being made on important actions, and moral was at an all-time low. Meetings were conducted with the CEO and COO to discuss weekly events/ issues and while concerns where being brought to the leadership nothing was done. Ultimately the customers (the Soldiers) are the ones that are now suffering. Issues such as Soldiers not getting paid on time, not getting the Soldiers home on time, Soldiers not receiving their required documentations and errors on important documents to include DD Form 214, PCS Orders and MOS Orders. There has been over a 60% turnover rate at the site (Soldier Support Center) to include 95% of the leadership position with years of dedication and experience in their field/ positions. There is now a Union in place due to all the ongoing issues.
