The pay and compensation were defintely above average compared to maintenance and repair positions in other jobs. The HR department was very helpful with me concerning pay and time off issues. ATS had a strong safety program that promoted a safer work environment for both the employees and the customers.

Promises of enrolling personnel into programs where they could advance their careers were not kept. Management failed in correcting personnel shortages by letting employees go as soon as new hires checked aboard. This resulted in a revolving door pattern where those who still worked at Beltsville were being asked to work overtime and odd shifts when they could have spent more time with their families. Previous site managers allowed pay information on some employees to be carelessly leaked to the rest of the site, creating an atmosphere of jealousy and resentment among co-workers, even to the point where one employee quit because of the pay disparity.

Great time to sell into the manufacturing sector related to productivity and equipment reliability.

Operational driven company but constantly changing the sales org and strategy. "Leaders" that have no background in business development or revenue generation responsible for sales strategy. Wasn't uncommon to report to a new leader or move sales territories multiple times in a year but quota never changed. Top performers are expected to do and sell more but additional financial upside was out of the question. A select group of legacy employees and "leaders" made decisions in a bubble in most cases. I was a top performer during my entire tenure at ATS. I agreed to work out a two week notice to help transition my accounts but was terminated after three days. No one in middle management, director, or exec-level roles asked for feedback or even made the time to send an email wishing me well or thanking me for my contributions during my five years with the company. In fact, my health insurance was terminated with no warning before I left the last day. My contributions and sacrifices for ATS meant so little to the company that they didn't care that my two small children wouldn't have insurance for over a month when I tried to leave the right way.
