Many cons and all of them come from a very inexperienced management. Wrong hierarchy, wrong decision process, but for me, the absolute worst is the fake company culture. Too much hype about anything and everyone is faking every reaction. Just not good.

Hi Anonymous, reading your review was pretty surprising. At Advanon, our vision is to turn “traditional corporate culture" on its head and create modern forms of working together. The aim is to allow for our employees to arrange their jobs around their lives and not vice versa. We are very sorry to hear this doesn’t seem to work for everyone. We are even more sorry that you didn't feel like you could have addressed your concerns while you were still employed at Advanon. We put a lot of effort into encouraging feedback - also and above all critical feedback. Because we agree with you: critical thinking is the root from which great ideas grow and thrive. There are many actions we take to encourage employees to speak their minds: anonymous pulse surveys, bi-weekly All-Hands meetings, with a process for anonymous questions to be discussed in front of the whole team, as well as weekly 1:1s with team leads. Personally, I also hold an exit interview with any person leaving the team, which is why I am surprised to see the feedback here. We are glad though, you found your platform for feedback in the end on Glassdoor, and we take it very seriously. As a result we will check how we can further improve our work environment. On the other hand, we acknowledge that for some people maybe a corporate, more traditional work space is a better match. All the best for your future!

About 6 months ago, I've applied to a Front-End Senior Developer position at Advanon. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the hiring process, I did the first interview with HR, then implemented a small app as a home task, another interview with engineers in which I had to answer technical questions and do live coding, and a final one with management. During the process, I just hoped Advanon was so impressed with me as I was with them. Everyone I interacted with was super-friendly, open minded, and highly professional. Quite naturally, Advanon rose to the first spot on the list of places I had applied to, so I didn't think twice when they sent me an offer. Six months later, I think it turned out well, my perspective hasn't changed, in fact, it was reinforced. Working at Advanon doesn't feel like "work", it feels like joining a group of like-minded people and contribute to do something worth doing, i.e. helping SMEs get liquidity by allowing them to pre-finance their invoices. "Work" is both challenging and addicting, I have plenty of autonomy and I feel my opinions go a long way. I have the time flexibility to keep up with developments on my field and to cross-check with my peers. Although I work remotely from another country, I have been in the Zurich office twice, the last time for a week, and being there I felt I was at home. If six months ago I knew what I know now, would I still have joined Advanon? The answer is an unequivocal YES, absolutely. It was one of those rare occasions one's hopes turned out to be true.
