Decent earning potential that is especially attractive for new grads. Many young employees that have similar mindsets and type A personalities, so I met a lot of good, fun people. We had office parties and events every few months that were always a lot of fun. The company also truly believe in professional development and you will learn things that will help you when you move on to your next opportunity.

Although the compensation is attractive, it definitely is not worth the amount of hours you are forced to work. In a small market, making $45k as a 22 year old with no work experience seems incredible, but you have to work 55-65 hours per week with almost no exception. Penciling it out into an hourly wage, it isn't quite as good as it seems. It is a confrontational environment, which definitely isn't a bad thing, but it's used more of an intimidation method. You are called out in front of your entire office twice each day and you have to give a progress update. This is very difficult when you are struggling to fill your position and at times, multiple people, for lack of a better word, attack you, for not completing your task. The final con I saw certainly doesn't apply to every office, but I saw some managers and directors verbally abuse recruiters and other managers. I'm talking about daily basis, in your face dropping F-bombs, and in many cases, in front of multiple other employees or the entire office. Most recruiters are thick skinned and can get over it but it can be embarrassing and uncomfortable. The worst part is that since there are so many young people, you kind of assume that this is how things go in the working world. After leaving, I've quickly learned that if this behavior went on at 99% of other companies, they would be fired.

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
