Upper management is solely focused on the bottom line $. They don't care one iota about employees, The format for a "profit" is to lay off more people or move jobs to Jamaica for cheap untrained labor (customer service jobs formerly held by US workers) They lay off people every year just before the holidays. Not nice people! NEVER any raises or bonuses for sales - just "work harder" yet once you bring on a new client, it's taken away for "inhouse" so you don't make commission. Always set unattainable quotas so no one ever wins the reward trip of 3 days (which I regularly won at my last 3 jobs). Incompetent HR - always make mistakes.
