Agora is one of the best local software teams. The management is great, and the projects are interesting. If you're a self starter, you'll love the environment and the opportunity to make a difference.

Agora works in the game industry, and it's hard to get around the fact that the customers are located in different timezones, work different schedules, and tend to follow a waterfall approach. Still, given that game launches typically happen only a few times a year, the trade off is totally worth it if you have any interest in the industry.

That's just wrong. - Management knows little to nothing about what the engineers do day-to-day - The office is blocks away from high-crime areas of Troy: Muggings, beatings, and shootings are common in the news. Customer representatives were literally afraid to come to the office. - Management is very distrusting of the employees. - Pays below market value - Recently acquired by Warner Brothers. Seemed like a good thing but then came the 11 hour work days for a month straight.
