I had the amazing opportunity to work under one of the most underrated and intelligent HR professionals, Eric Thompson, who was the HR Director at the time. His emotional intelligence and people-focused approach were incredibly inspiring to me as I was developing my career as an HR consultant. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work under his leadership and mentorship. Eric went above and beyond in his role, integrating HR into the strategic side of the business in a way that demonstrated how essential HR can be when leaders truly understand their company inside and out. He embodied what a true HR Business Partner should be — involved, inspiring, leading, and mentoring not only within HR, but across every part of the organization. What stood out most was his ability to remain professional, respectful, and objective in every situation. He was relatable and approachable, while also ensuring that conversations stayed constructive and aligned with the company’s goals. I witnessed teams across the warehouse become more engaged and motivated through his leadership. He also placed a strong emphasis on employee recognition, which greatly influenced my own approach to HR. Rather than focusing solely on performance challenges, he applied a solution-oriented mindset and encouraged everyone involved to create actionable development plans. This helped support both business continuity and employee growth opportunities. Eric did not provide vague responses, he provided the pathway moving forward. To me, that was the true meaning of HR leadership. Additionally, everyone was genuinely passionate about their roles, so even if ideas did not align, they were all invested on reaching the same goal.

At times, I was unable to receive immediate responses due to busy schedules and shifting priorities, which occasionally delayed internal communication and led to miscommunication. This was sometimes discouraging, as I had hoped for more opportunities to connect with and learn from my direct supervisor, whom I greatly valued as a mentor.

Air Sea is a good place to gain experience and get hired with similar skill set yet no art handling experience. Good benefits package. You will be exposed to high profile art, decor, and furnishings and this creates appreciation for your craft, motivation, and an enjoyable part of your day to day. Parking tickets and vehicle infractions are covered by the company.

Corporate feel to this company. Disorganization from the top. Repeats inefficiencies and inadequate effort to change protocol or make changes to operations that would improve overall success and growth as well as improvement and development of staff personnel and cohesiveness. There are some positive and moral boosting people in leadership positions but mostly persons with long tenures accepting stagnant policies resulting in unpleasant attitudes and a negative environment to look forward to each day. Trucks are not maintained and operate consistently in disrepair. Safety is discussed in vein and not implemented seriously. Personnel is not provided with proper tools nor are updated or repaired as reported and needed. A lack of personnel designated to manage tools, equipment, supplies, and materials creates an inefficient and burdensome environment to achieve productivity yet is expected none the lease. Same mistakes and disorganization is ongoing never achieving change or improvement makes for a stagnant underperforming work environment with low moral. Some staff are pleasant and cohesive and manage well in scattered small pockets. Overall is not a trusting and trustworthy group of personnel and do not expect integrity or honesty as far as what is being said that you might not hear. Truck operation through the city and transport is unsafe and stressful job with baked in risks due to inconsistent scheduling, communication, dispatch, and a get it done mentality.
