A promise/announcement from management can be quickly retracted the next day, take everything from above with a grain of salt. Engineers are pressured into overtime and weekend work with almost no compensation when deadline approaches, which happens way too often. Business side over-promising clients resulting in developers working overtime and taking the blame after unsatisfactory demonstration/ evaluation from clients. Talented employees start leaving after staying for a while and this whole cycle of cons repeats itself endlessly.
