There have been a lot of changes in management following what has felt like the standard quarterly layoff round (approximately 250 layoffs). Management style: After the purchase of Linode and significant investment in API security, it seemed that higher management wanted to see ROI quickly. In my view, this was unrealistic as the products do not yet appear to be enterprise-ready. This put what I felt was unsustainable pressure on the sales teams, while management (again, in my experience) did not appear to take accountability. Management used scare tactics and micromanagement, these did not appear to be effective as results have gone down. (there were reportedly multiple HR reports against management, but in my experience, there were no noticeable changes as a result). Many employees felt treated as replaceable numbers, which in my opinion contributed to a noticeable loss of strong talent. Unfairness: In my experience, large deals often seemed to go to people who were close to management, sometimes based on what I perceived to be questionable representations of account status (e.g., describing accounts as inactive or low priority while a hidden ongoing deal was actually in motion). Diversity: Regarding diversity, it felt to me that hiring skewed heavily towards white male “bro” types despite claims of inclusivity. Growth: Career possibilities: I did not observe any promotions on my team during my time at the company, and there is an official freeze on raises and promotions across the board (Has been for the last 2 years). The common advice I heard among peers was to leave for a company like Cloudflare, gain experience, and return later if growth opportunities open up.

Complex tools, products and processes. It's mostly all cold calling which is a grind. Morale is at all time low across entire department. Quotas change mid month. No career opportunities... at all. 99% of sdrs have been sdrs for years with no advancement but we're treated like it's an entry level role
