Good clients, horrible leader - Recensione dipendente - Dipendente anonimo presso Alchemy

I always knew this company had an extremely toxic and abusive work environment, but I never fully comprehended just how bad it was until I worked at other PR firms. I wish that I had known this before I accepted a position here. Sadly the principal is a control freak who makes his employees feel bad about themselves (AFTER grooming them and making them feel special at the beginning). Nothing anyone does is ever enough, everyone is always a disappointment. Everyone in the office is afraid of him, always walking on eggshells fearful of when his next outburst will be. He doesn’t handle issues with employees professionally at all and will air dirty laundry in front of the unpaid interns. It’s truly a shame because he’s good at identifying talent, but then stifles everyone’s creativity and motivation by trying to control everything and squashing his employees’ self esteem. Everyone at this company is just trying to keep their head above water and avoid his wrath. Pay is below what other PR firms in Miami offer. They don’t value their junior employees or interns, and don’t care enough to teach them how to hone their skills and grow as professionals.
