Two of my direct reports told me that they "didn't like being touched by Zarir." Heck, I didn't like it either, but I managed to stay physically far from him or make sure there was a table between us or something. But once TWO of my supervisees told me they disliked his hand on their lower back and elsewhere, I decided I had to address this. The next time he tried to give me a neck massage, I stopped him and requested he stop touching me at work. I told him, "You probably shouldn't touch others as well. I'm speaking now, but I bet other people don't want to be touched." He said, "I can't believe you don't like a friendly gesture." I said, "I can't believe I have to tell the CEO in the 'Me Too era' to quit touching my body at work!" Four work days later, I was gone. (Happy to discuss with former AI employees.
