Terrible pay rate outside large cities
Zero help from office or site management if you actually want to advance.
Definitely more useful as a stepping stone into an actual career other than security and only valuable to retired individuals who already get retirement benefits or kids looking for a second job to earn a little extra.
Do not stay in this line of work, with ANY security company, if you want good pay. The ONLY way you'll get decent pay in security is if you have a degree in business management, pursue and pay for your own licensing in a state that allows such, like Texas, or start your own security company and get just good enough to be bought by Allied or Securitas.
