What is left of the company is a shell of its former self. After being acquired by Virtus Investment Partners, they've swiftly cleaned house of nearly all functional departments and simply absorb them up. There is a clear disregard for the institutional knowledge being shed out of the door and the bleeding it caused, which may be just fine to Virtus. The investment strategy in general seems to be falling out of favor in the marketplace. Senior leadership is down to an uninspiring CEO who is clearly only there do the bidding of Virtus, with the help of an incredibly unhelpful and combative HR team behind him.
