It's a great place to work; the management is supportive if you need to take time off for personal stuff (was especially important during COVID, if a family member got sick). On the one hand, the software has been around for over 20 years, so the code base is pretty old, but on the other hand, it's being migrated to newer tech, so you get experience with a wide range of technologies, from old to new. Office perks are nice too: lots of snacks, drinks, espresso machine. And fun company outings like paintball and the Cowtown Cycle Party.

I wouldn't really call it a con, but as mentioned above, the software has been around for a while, so yeah, if you're a dev, you're gonna have to do some stuff in VB6.

Company has a good culture and management is caring and friendly. Everyone there was a pleasure to work with.

Company suffered from the buyout. Virtually every department is short staffed making work unnecessarily stressful. Company doesn't really do many events anymore. New owners (CAI) haven't really done much to help anything in terms of staffing. Also no opportunity for growth and yearly reviews have stopped since CAI took over.
