Vantaggi
Excellent pay and world-class benefits, interesting problems to solve and (at least on my team) good front-line management. My immediate team, manager, and skip level were all fantastic and I'd happily work with them again.
Svantaggi
Upper to mid management sees people as interchangeable parts that are below them, plus there's opaqueness in leadership and occasional outright gaslighting. I left on my own after layoffs. Engineers that had worked there for 7+ years got laid off either seemingly at random or based on what axed project they were working on. Worse, they only found out they were laid off when they tried to go between the warehouse/factory and office space and *their keycards no longer left.*because by dumb luck they were assigned to the wrong one). Worse, they only found out they were laid off when they tried to go between the warehouse/factory and office space and *their keycards no longer worked. That didn't make me leave, but it did worry me. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they took away 5-hour Fridays and claimed that it was never a perk (it was explicitly to let folks spend time with loved ones), it was to help with Friday traffic, which didn't matter with hybrid. It wasn't the removal of the perk, it was that they lied about it. I can't work for management that lies about even the little things.
