Work life balance is a joke. I've heard even folks at amazon Seattle stopped complaining for the kind of work environment here. Unhealthy competition and mudslinging peers only breeds politics, blame game and hatred. It is by no means team building. They bs a lot about amazon leadership principles and expect the employees only to follow them while they can break them.
