Vantaggi
If the benefits align with your needs then they are great. They tier the plans accordingly and decent but consistent with healthcare rising. Plenty of projects to work on. Anything you can do to cut costs and improve efficiency is appreciated. There is a DEI program and lots of different ways to help. Vacation time is great and much needed.
Svantaggi
Industry appears to be shifting to heavy use of contractors and third parties. Which to loyal employees working long hours is a net negative. When new hires and contractors are treated better than full time employees there is a problem. There is no work life balance, we have consistently gone more back to the office, 1>2>3 days in the office with expected 5 days this coming year. No direct promotion or ladder to climb here. Lots of high turn over resulting in the senior folks carrying most of the load, wearing multiple hats. Last year 2023 they terminated a huge workforce reduction and then put all that work on the employees still here. Now they appear to be hiring contractor third parties as supplement workers. Some out of state.
