Vantaggi

Amgen has a great 401K matching program, a stellar educational reinbusement program, good on-site training, and is a great place to work if you want to maximize your professional growth.

Svantaggi

Amgen is IT hostile, so if you are an IT professional, look elsewhere. Compensation for IT is about 15-20% less than industry, with the company making up the gap with a performance based bonus....which is not guaranteed. Executive and Senior Management is completely incompetent and not equipped to make the decisions that they are making. The best decription of the Management style that predominates Amgen is 'highly immature'. Blame is the driver - not getting blamed while blaming others. The organiztion is highly political with employees that can play the politics correctly being promoted over staffers with better qualifications and experience. That being said, an internal promotion is the exception - not the rule - as an external candidate is always preferred. So, if you are expecting career advancement, Amgen is not the place for you.

Vantaggi

Excellent compensation, benefits, and career development opportunities. Strong investment in innovation, patient-focused mission, and world-class manufacturing capabilities. The New Albany site offers exposure to complex biologics operations, large-scale capital projects, and opportunities to work alongside talented and dedicated professionals committed to delivering medicines to patients.

Svantaggi

The culture and leadership experience became increasingly inconsistent during the last year. Decision-making often lacked transparency, priorities shifted frequently, and employee feedback did not always appear to be valued. The people-centered culture that attracted many long-tenured employees seemed to drift, resulting in reduced trust, lower engagement, and increased organizational uncertainty.
