Once you work 12 weeks you get parity with Royal Mail staff on hourly pay. Supposedly. (I think there is a clause that if you go one week without work then you start the 12 weeks again from scratch, so I doubt many Angard staff actually ever reach this point!).

Angard only offer Zero-hours contracts with no set hours or shifts. The call goes out by text and the first people to ring up get the work. Angard staff are not given swipe cards to get in or out of the building and are not allowed entry to the car park. It is very much a two-tier workforce of "us" and "them" - people doing the same job and often working much harder than the Royal Mail staff for far less money. Some RM staff treat the Agency staff like scum. No way to run a business. I was offered a grand total of 3 1/2 hrs work one week. I like the work, but simply can't afford to stay with them if that is all I am going to get offered. Sitting by the phone praying that I am going to be called in to work the next day is no way to make a living.
