Vantaggi
In St. Louis, most of the people are still first-rate; carryovers from the "old A-B" when the rewards attracted the best & brightest. This is changing with layoffs and people leaving to find better jobs. People still try to work together (within departments and across departments) to get the job done right. One good thing about new management: They are accessible and down to earth. In this respect, an improvement and very refreshing.
Svantaggi
If you take a job here, know that you will be doing the work of 2 - 3 people since all departments were cut into the bone. Transition to InBev is being horribly mismanaged. Employees are being told benefit cuts, salary freezes, etc. are due to "the economic environment" but everyone knows A-B is doing just fine! Total compensation is now being re-set to the 50th percentile of marketplace. Quality employees are leaving, and more will leave once the job market opens up. Much is made of the opportunities available in the "meritocratic" environment but this only seems to apply to Director level and above. Low-class things being done in the name of cost-cutting; pay bills in 120 DAYS!, micro-manage (or eliminate) necessary business tools like printer paper, continuing education, etc.
