cons 1)Work environment in IT department is bad and stressful. Unless you are Senior Manager or above you will treated like slaves with IT management openly making comments they can get rid of people any time they want without any repercussion from HR. 2)Growth opportunities are only for Management. Last 10 years Senior Manager and above mostly got quick multiple promotions within span of 3 or 4 years. While most of the employees below Manager position hardly see any promotion even for after decade. 3)Very big hierarchy in IT department with lots of Assoc directors, directors and above for the small IT team they have. And they do not go well with each other with lots of friction between themselves. Which translates into stressful environment for employees of grade Manager and below. HR being just namesake things make worse. 4)Hard work is not appreciated by management 5)Instances of people getting verbally insulted and HR just sits and watches the toxic culture. Which is known problem across different departments.
