Attractive sales commission when paid out appropriately, run like a small business, respectable owner that’s willing to support the sales effort

Low salary, accounting errors when calculating monthly commissions are prevalent, mismanaged organization with confusing hierarchy. Overall the organization can’t decide if they want distributor partners or dedicated sales people so there’s always animosity between the 2 methods to infiltrate the market

I feel like there is always something new going on at Applied Material Solutions and there are so many knowledgeable colleagues from which much can be learned. There is a drive here to always be improving our products, streamlining our processes and making the best decisions for our customers. We also have a leadership team that is concerned about the health and well-being of our staff. I am extremely proud to be an AMS employee!

As with any job there are always going to be some downsides or some things that one wishes would run more smooth, but I feel that I can go an discuss with my colleagues and I will be heard and taken seriously when I make suggestions. I don't look at evolving and improving as a con...just a learning opportunity, but it's the only thing I could think of as a possible "con."

Sales team seems to be well supported

AMS is a mess. Upper management acts like they’re untouchable and completely out of touch with reality. There are constant HR, safety, and morale issues that get ignored. The controller is basically a yes-man for leadership, and sales reps are treated like royalty while everyone else gets overlooked and overworked. There’s nonstop micromanaging, but somehow still zero structure or real processes in place. Rules don’t mean anything and they change depending on who you are. The only reason people stay is the pay, but even that barely makes up for the workload and ridiculous overtime expectations.
