Vantaggi
- Some of the most interesting clients you could possibly have - purpose-driven work - Attracts some very talented people, some of the long-standing senior team figures are exceptionally good and have built something special - The work was in general of an extremely good quality and April Six often a preferred agency for clients. Svantaggi
- Work life balance as with many agencies can be difficult to maintain, over time saw a fair amount of burnout - Pay/recognition seems broken. Promotions not applied consistently, business not proactive in progressing people even when over-delivering, tied to meaningless annual cycles that don’t apply to juniors. Hope these trends have been reversed slightly. - Salaries at junior level were very poor previously, but this is common across PR. Makes it hard for people without support to join this career, - Some people in the business not hands on with supporting other staff to manage workload. Account structure sometimes top heavy. Very easy for overworking to go unaddressed, and for more senior individuals to avoid tasks they don’t want to do. - Company structure confusing, specialism of PR teams not clear externally. - Easy for passion towards the subject matter to feel exploited.
