My experience at ArcBest was disappointing due to a company culture that fosters favoritism and questionable ethics. There is an unspoken “hookup culture” that is ignored or tolerated, especially among leadership. Work trips often felt more like social events than professional gatherings, with heavy drinking normalized and sometimes even encouraged.
Worse, the company seems more interested in protecting its senior leaders than its employees. When complaints are raised—particularly about inappropriate behavior or boundary-crossing from leadership—they are either brushed off or quietly buried. This creates an environment where subordinates don’t feel safe or supported.
I had hoped for a professional environment focused on growth and respect. Instead, I witnessed a culture that rewards silence and punishes those who speak up. I would caution anyone considering a role here to look carefully at the values that matter most to you.
