Vantaggi

Good Development Teams for GII Solutions Work From Home Options Intelligent CEO Some very good teams and stable clients, but the teams vary drastically Interesting Projects and Customers

Svantaggi

Project managers have limited experience and are not technical Paths to promotions seem to have more to do with friends/connections than performance Long Work Hours Very different managers some have a very very authoritarian style of leadership Management misrepresents team contributions and takes credit without basic knowledge of product Losing highly skilled employees Employees lost are not replaced with the same skill level Communication is frigid with repercussions / no anonymity if you try to address any issues No open door policy Management insight is limited your project manager is your only interface with the company Team dynamics can rapidly change causing lag time for development Ignores repeat patterns for friends saw several good employees leave or be let go due to perspective issues and misrepresentations Patterns are not anomalies and are occurring for solvable reasons ( specifically Authoritarian Management styles and lack of team clarity to higher managers) Lots of changes in office structures and negotiations with clients

Vantaggi

"Unlimited" paid leave flexible work hours

Svantaggi

The contract we were on was set to go up for rebid. For the recompete, they knew 4 months in advance that 3+ people on the current contract would have to be dropped (fired). Instead of telling these people, they kept them in discussions as if their work would also continue. They lost their jobs with zero notice when a 4 months heads-up was possible. These people had families to take care of, kids graduating from kindergarten. During the lapse in contract funding, we were promised over and over that we would get pay for at least 2 weeks of the lapse period. The Friday before the lapse in contract, we were called individually to be told they would not be paying us in contradiction to what was promised for weeks. During the lapse in contract and recompete when we were all afraid of losing our jobs, they invited us all to a vague meeting, we naturally assumed it was about the contract we were on. During the meeting they showed an excel sheet of all the millions of dollars in contracts ArdentMC was getting and told us how great the company was doing. There was no mention of our recompete status just boasting, I would like to say it was tone deaf but that would not do justice in terms of how out of touch it was. They then lost the recompete.
