fun job, nice people, easy once you know what you are doing, met loads of people who still are friends was quite happy there for 10+ years until closed down, I feel that if less money was wasted on irrelevant stuff, hiring teenage managers/team leaders then we might still be open

too much "go team" and irrelevant nonsense meetings etc, team talk only happens on paper, was left alone during busy periods quite often, that's not a "team" was once asked to give two words to describe managers, any words but wasn't allowed negative ones? pointless management ego boosting and totally irrelevant to the job young managers/team leaders come to the job thinking they know it all, they don't take advice from people who have worked there 10x longer than them, ends in bad results and or a store closure too many different management positions, again wasting money, they also think that they will sell mass quantities of things which they wont, results in wasted time sending the stuff to store, wasted time in store employees having to find room for it all of said wasted time costs money also attempting to become a digital leader, taking on Amazon etc is an absolute waste of time, home delivery staff and the home delivery schedule will always prevent this
