Vantaggi
Worked for Arla for 3 years and find it to have a great culture. Unique as a farmer owned cooperative and this underpins everything the business does. Ambitious global growth plans that feel achievable with a lot of money spent on marketing to support it. Forward thinking business both commercially but also on the sites where there best in class Lean Manufacturing / thinking. Automated facilities are very impressive whether its milk, cheese or butter production. Lots of opportunities to develop in the supply chain with many of the managers/directors having worked their way up. Work / life balance can be demanding in some site based roles given the 24/7 nature of the business, but office roles definitely have a good balance and culture.
Svantaggi
Doesn't always act like the multi-billion pound global business it actually is. Senior leadership is mostly Danish which doesn't reflect the global/diverse business it claims to be. Big investment in certain areas, other parts quite under-invested so need to get the balance right.
