Vantaggi
- Very good pay and benefits package - Good work/life balance in some areas - Performance management process is good - empowered to do your best work - If you like to hit the ground running, then this is the place for you. - Challenging and varied work - Very intelligent workforce - inspiring to see what actually happens “behind the scenes” - Many people who work there genuinely care about their work, but normal office politics and growing pains of a large corporate company get in the way
Svantaggi
- Toxic atmosphere - office politics are rife - No clear strategic direction or top down communication - Large areas of the business are segmented and do not collaborate or communicate at a basic level - huge “us and them” mentality - Office space is a lot to be desired for such a cash rich company - Onboarding process is very poor and varies greatly between teams and departments to - you’re shown your desk and that’s it really - Basic and highly manual operational processes in areas like Finance, HR, Legal and Procurement not in place so makes getting anything approved a nightmare - There are A LOT of egos at middle management and senior level - Bullying is prevalent in many areas - senior leadership seems to tolerate it - Deadlines on high profile projects very unrealistic and aggressive, normally imposed by senior management a lot of the time who have no clue what’s actually going on - IT support is very poor. Help desk and technical support is outsourced so customer service is very patchy. - The fact that Arm have employed 2,000+ people in the space of two years has resulted in MAJOR growing pains. The company hasn’t been able to keep up with this growth and it shows in basic operational processes and support which have not been updated to cope with this sudden growth. Many teams that provide operational support are overworked and stressed tying to keep up and not drown in the workload.
