Overall really good place to be an engineer. You actually get ownership here instead of just picking up tickets. If you see something broken you’re expected to fix it, which I like. You’re close to prod and customers so the work feels real, not abstract. Team is smart and chill, not a lot of ego. Eng works closely with product so you usually understand why you’re building something, not just what. PRs don’t sit around forever and people give useful feedback. Stuff ships fast and you see impact pretty quickly. Leadership is pretty accessible and transparent about priorities. There’s a lot of trust given to engineers, which makes the job more interesting. Also nice that tech debt actually gets addressed instead of always getting pushed.

It’s a startup so things can be kinda scrappy. Docs aren’t always up to date and priorities can change fast. You need to be ok with some ambiguity and figuring stuff out as you go. Pace can be intense sometimes depending on what’s going on, so not the best if you want super strict work-life balance all the time.
