Vantaggi
I worked at Asurion for several years in a handful of departments including HR. I will say that the over benefit to working at Asurion if that is truly a place with no real rules. For the most part you can do as you please within reason. You can't literally set fire to anything, but if you did, you might actually get away with it if you had the correct support and a business justification on why fire worked. Beautiful Building and a competitive benefit package.
Svantaggi
Ironically, the same things that are great about Asurion and the same things that are horrible about Asurion. There are no rules so with that being said you really do have to fend for yourself. People are so over worked and burned out that the interactions there feel very much like constant fights. I had managers tell me that they have had to meet people outside in the parking lot. No portion of this is untrue or made up. There is no such thing as work life balance. I heard it all the time from pretty much every level. The higher you go the worse it is. Don't expect anything less than 60 hours. I literally forced a work life balance for myself and got the side eye. Sorry. Some people have a life. It is nearly impossible to get promoted, but you can make as moves as you want. Just not up, unless you know exactly the right person. It's like it is protocol to over hire externally rather than promote from within. Any attempts at trying to get the culture to really champion our employees fails. Most of the people I know in HR that looking to make a move up know exactly what companies to go to make jump. It's great to have on your resume, but have an exit plan. It's not the kind of place that you stay out. They will burn you out with the constant changes in priority and fire drills.
