Vantaggi
Working alongside clinicians, some of whom are passionate, and the good patients, makes this an okay role. But it's not worth it.
Svantaggi
By far the worst company I've ever worked for. They don't care for their employees at all. The PEC role is high turnover because the pay is so low, the training is awful, and the workload is insatiable. They promise you a substantial monthly bonus of upwards of $700/month...most PEC's are lucky if they see $150. The operating systems are either from the early 2000's (literally), or they are off-brand discount services like using a payer system called Triple Pay Play, instead of Stripe/Paypal/Adyen. The worst part, however, is not that the job is constantly working against you, it's that you're never considered good enough. The are constantly holding data over your head and coaching you to do better while at the same time taking no accountability for their own actions. It feels like a role you can step into and manage, but it is far from it. If it's not a clinic management issue, it's your supervisor (PES), regional director, vpco, or some new corporate policy that makes no sense. I wish I had never taken the job lol. Also, literally no room for growth. Beware! The interview is all cloak and daggers.
